What is Inter. Hug Day?
You may be wondering just what International Hug Day is.
It is exactly what it sounds like; we are trying to plan a day, September 9th, 2007, where many people all around the world will come together and reach out to others, not just for hugs, but for the compassion that the world today seems to be lacking.
Also, it is a chance for anyone that wants to speak out about world peace, environmental health, and world-wide issues.
All-in-all, this is the idea that people of our generation can use the resources and methods of communication we have to create one huge event that spans the globe. Our goal for it is to have enough people involved to somehow make headlines; let's show the world that we can come together, and we can accept people for who we are, and we can make a difference.

So this is a club that I can join?
Yes, and no. You don't have to "join": just watch us and we will put you under a list of participants. This is not a club because you don't need to be a member; however, we do suggest that you watch us so that you can keep up with updates.

What else should I know?
Keep up with the journals! Those will be your biggest source of information. We also are open to anyone that wants to submit deviations.

What deviations would I make for something like this?
Good question! Anything that has to do with hugs, tolerance, peace, the environment, and things along that line will work, and anyone can submit. Be creative!
However, this is a club that promotes peace; anything that is descriminate, violent, et cetera will not be tolerated.

So, a summary of all above:
We are a group that is organizing an "International Hug Day" on September 9th, 2007 where everyone can have a chance to give out hugs, do things for others, and speak out about peace, tolerance, and the state of the world.

We are aware that the Free Hug thing has been done before; however, we are going for a world-wide, organized day devoted to it.
